Q&A

What is a sitting fee?

A payment for the time and effort of shooting the session and the inspiration, props, and gear I take with me. 🙂 It is also what officially reserves your session time on our calendar. Please give a week’s notice when moving your session date. The fee is non-refundable if you reschedule within 7 days of the session for hindering the ability to book it.

When is my payment due?

100% of your sitting fee is due before the session. Payments can be cash, check, or money order.

  • Checks returned with insufficient funds are subject to a $20 processing fee

Minimum print purchases are to be made within 30 days of receiving the proofing gallery. After your minimum print order is placed, you will still have the ability to make additional print orders for one year after receiving your gallery.

What if I want specific locations that may not fit into the time allotted for my session?

I would be happy to take extra time for you and ensure we visit specific locations that are special to you. Extra time can be discussed per client, as each need is different. Hourly rates can be added to any session. Please discuss these locations at the time of booking.

When does the session start?

I am usually early to every session. The session starts at the time of your appointment. If you are running late, please contact me immediately. It is very important to arrive on time, tardiness results in less time to capture your images & fewer images provided.

When will my photos be ready?

All sessions are completed within roughly 1-2 weeks during peak season.
($50 rush fee gets your images delivered within 72 hours of your session)

How many images do I get?

We offer different digital packages for you to purchase after the session takes place.
There are approximately 60-120 edited images per session for clients to view and select from.

How long do you keep my photos?

Photos are kept on my hard drive for a total of 6 months. I also have the photos backed up through your online gallery. It is ultimately the client’s responsibility to protect & back up their images once they are delivered.

What should I wear?

Be YOU. Be comfortable! Put thought into it but don’t overthink it. 🙂 This will typically be discussed before the session. Try keeping clothing to a similar theme or color pallet. I usually suggest keeping it to 3 colors at the most. You can add variety by choosing different shades or patterns. Avoid clothing with text and graphics. Textures (knit, jean, lace, etc) photograph well and blend nicely with any pallet. Remember to dress for the weather.

Do you photograph pets?
Yes! I have had many sessions involving the family pooch or other animal. Please note that pets can sometimes be unmanageable, and while every effort is given to capture your furry friend, it is not a guarantee. All dogs must come wearing a collar & leash in case they need to be held off camera.

Small treats and squeaky toys are great ways to get your dog’s attention- so bring their favorite.
